Winter Blues

I am one of those people who refuses to accept the cold weather until the very brink of frostbite. I love the idea of winter, I really do- but dressing in summer is pretty much a million times easier and inevitably more carefree. Plus, as one of the world 1% who dislikes wearing jeans, my winter wardrobe is pretty much my summer wardrobe, give or take my hundred or so beanies (I have a problem), knits and stockings that endlessly attain holes.

In an effort to re-inspire my winter dressing- and stop people from glancing at my bare legs and exclaiming, "Aren't you freezing!"- I have collected a bunch of glossy winter style pics that will force me into some warmer clothes. Maybe.

Long Weekend Vibes

My five fave things this week:

1. Seeing myself in an MBFWA street style round up! Thanks to Famous Mag for this snap!

2. Long Weekends- can we have 4 days off every week please?

3. My love of ex-Disney stars music continues with Zendaya's 'Replay'- how catchy is the tune?!

4. Cronuts. I actually cannot describe the amazingness of the croissant/donut especially when they are Cadbury Crème egg flavoured created by Adriano Zumbo- seriously delicious.

5. Chilling out with a new magazine, fresh flowers and coffee. My ultimate way to relax.

#MBFWA Round Up

MBFWA is now done and dusted and my fashion inspiration has increased ten fold! Lucky Carriageworks is literally down the road from my uni- the close proximity let me fit in more shows that I would have been able to otherwise!

One of my fave shows was Aurellio Costarello, which was a lovely collection of floaty dresses, and bright eye-catching pieces, like the bright pink dress below! Group Swim on the Tuesday night increased my excitement for my European Summer, with plenty of cute bikini's and accessories! The Innovators new designer show was also fantastic- there were plenty of futuristic shapes, including an amazing perspex backpack and the cutest pink sunnies! The future of Australian fashion is looking bright!

Monday marked the beginning of the Fashion Week for me! Due to the cold, rainy weather I switched outfits last minute, teaming my new Chip Chop jumper with my favourite Forever21 skirt, and finished off the look with my green Agent 99 floppy hat and Marc by Marc Jacobs star backpack.

The Tuesday I wore my Mango plaid skirt and a Zeigest black mesh tee with my perspex Glassons clutch.

I will post the rest of my outfits separately, but in the meantime below are a collection of iPhone snaps for the week!
From top to bottom:
-Outfit shots from day one and day two
- The breakfast board for brunch at The Wedge Expresso Glebe between shows
-Some of my fashion week essentials including my media pass (obvs), Evian facial spray, my Chanel mirror, Mac lipstick, Micheal Kors purse and some reading material in the form of RUSSH
-Bright pink goodness for Aurellio Costarello
-Abbie Weir taking a polaroid selfie at Group Swim
-All white goodness at The Innovators
-Futuristic Shapes at New Generation

Style Icon

How amazing is Vanessa Hudgen's outfit?!
She has been my style icon since High School Music (aka one of the best movies of all time) plus we share the same taste in boys (hello Zac Efron and Austin Butler!).

Boyfriend jeans, a cropped white tee, leather jacket and a Lack of Colour floppy hat- her outfit is so pulled together, yet easy to emulate.

Love!

On another note I am currently gearing up for Sydney Fashion Week! It will be a crazy busy week ahead- fitting in shows between uni and work plus a few photoshoots lined up! I will be collating  it all on here the blog, but make sure you follow my insta @ellesechloe for of-the-minute updates!
